Today we are highlighting : Inventory 📝

The inventory department is essential to MB&D's operational efficiency, cost management, and production reliability. By maintaining accurate, organized, and readily available inventory, this department directly supports manufacturing productivity, on-time equipment delivery, and customer satisfaction. Everyday tasks also include vendor purchasing, shipping/receiving, and supply chain management.

50 years of business and 500+ machines later… if you need it.. we got it!

Day #3‼️

Today we are highlighting : Automation & Controls Electricians ⚡️

Automation electricians are a critical part of MB&D's manufacturing process. They bridge the gap between mechanical assembly and software engineering, ensuring our machines operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.

Here at MB&D they are responsible for Electrical Panel Assembly, Machine Wiring & Installation, Automation Integration, Troubleshooting & Diagnostics, Machine Testing & Commissioning, Electrical Safety & Compliance, and Customer Support & Installation. All done in house!

Day #2‼️

Today’s department highlight : CNC & Machining ⚙️

In-house CNC and machining provides MB&D with greater control over quality, precision, production schedules, and manufacturing costs. It reduces lead times, allows faster engineering changes, improves collaboration between departments, and minimizes dependence on outside suppliers. Additionally, it protects proprietary designs, supports rapid spare parts production, and provides the flexibility required for custom equipment manufacturing!

In total we have 10 CNC machines that are made up of horizontal mills, turning centers and more! We also have a mixture of manual bridgeports and manual lathes which are utilized on a daily basis.

For context : Some of these precision parts must hold tolerances that compare to the thickness of a human hair!

For some, you may not know exactly what we do at Machine Builders and that’s okay! We wanted to do a small series highlighting the different departments and how important they are to manufacturing state of the art food processing equipment.

The first department we want to highlight : Welding & Fabrication 👨‍🏭

The Welding & Fabrication Department plays a critical role in the manufacturing of high-quality, reliable, and sanitary food processing equipment. The department is responsible for transforming engineered designs into precision-built structures and components that serve as the foundation of every machine while maintaining hygienic standards all around the world.

Today is a bitter sweet day for Machine Builders & Design. We want to congratulate Mr. Rick McDaniel on his official retirement! Rick started with Machine Builders in 1990 and will end his working career with 36 years employed here at MB&D.

During these last 36 years, Rick served as our internal sales coordinator where he was an instrumental part in customer relations, pre -engineering work, sales, and equipment show coordination.

We wish Rick many years of health and prosperity as he moves into this new chapter of life! He will be truly missed by all of us here at MB&D and our customers/agents all around the world!

Thank you Rick for being a great friend, colleague and employee!!
