✨ Employee Spotlight: Mike Steinmetz ✨

This month, we’re proud to spotlight Mike Steinmetz, our Order Management and Logistics Specialist at Cooper Enterprises.

Mike describes himself as a dedicated dad, sports enthusiast and occasional golfer with a strong commitment to family, teamwork and pretending his golf swing is “almost there.” That same mix of humor and dependability shows up in the work he does every day.

In his role, Mike helps schedule outbound freight and monitors orders as they move through the shop all the way to delivery. He says one of the things he enjoys most is seeing all the different types of industries Cooper Enterprises works with.

Mike believes one of his strengths as a teammate is asking a lot of questions—not to be difficult, but to better understand the work and think through every possible outcome. That curiosity helps him stay detail-focused and support the team in a meaningful way.

A fun fact about Mike: he’s a dad, which means he can negotiate with toddlers and coworkers with equal patience. And one of his more memorable accomplishments? Eating 36 hot dogs with buns in 10 minutes. 🌭

His advice to others: Ask questions to understand the “why,” not just the “what.”

Mike would also like to give a shoutout to Amanda Lippert for putting up with his endless questions and curiosity about anything that pops into his mind.

A new chapter begins at Cooper Enterprises, Inc.

After more than 60 years of manufacturing in Shelby, Ohio, Cooper Enterprises is proud to continue its legacy under the next generation of leadership. With Edward Friebel now serving as CEO and sole owner, Bryson Friebel stepping into the role of vice president of sales and marketing, and Clay Barnett serving as vice president of operations, our focus remains the same: serving our customers well, supporting our employees, and keeping manufacturing local.

We’re grateful for Monty Friebel’s leadership, Mike Murray’s 28-plus years of dedication, and the entire Cooper Enterprises team that continues to build on the foundation set in 1965.
