This week I got the opportunity to fly the first customer built Lightning, and one of the latest XSs finished. SN6 was in our shop this week for a new Gen4 jabiru. While SN207, a local aircraft, was in for a few service items.

What a drastic difference in the two, with completely different personalities, but both wonderful to fly. Fun to see where we started and where we are in the same week.

We are a small community and these are our friends and good people. We don’t want to see Sonex end this way. It’s a fantastic aircraft one of few that is still “affordable” in the kit industry today. Thank you.

Who’s out flight testing this week?

Earlier this week it was 20 degrees flying N337AL our 2012 demo plane. Now with 1100hrs and off to a new owner.

Today is 70 and flying a previous build assist customers plane after service.

We will be closed tomorrow Monday the 26th so that our crew can stay home and be safe. Most of our area has encountered incredible amounts of ice and most roads other than in town are impassible. Thank you.
