We currently have a downed power line near Huddle House, affecting a circuit along the northernmost portion of N. Main Street.

SCAM ALERT — PLEASE BE AWARE!

We have been made aware of a scam currently going around involving someone pretending to be a Shelbyville Power, Water & Sewer Systems (SPWS) employee.

The caller may claim that you have an outstanding balance and demand immediate payment, while asking for your payment or credit/debit card information over the phone.

DO NOT provide your payment or card information to an unsolicited caller. We will never ask you to provide your payment information over the phone, nor will we demand immediate payment from you.

If you choose to pay your bill by phone, only use our official Pay-by-Phone number. 866-784-0063. This is the only number you should call to provide your payment information over the phone.

If you receive a suspicious call, hang up and contact us immediately at 931-684-7171.

Overgrown trees can also create dangerous working conditions for utility crews who are working to safely restore power and maintain essential services.
