Speck Contracting is owned and operated by Steve Speck who has been a resident of Jefferson County, WV since 1979. Steve grew up in the home building industry working for his father starting at a very early age. Steve started Speck Contracting in 1999 and has done many projects in Jefferson and Berkley Counties over the last 14 years. These projects include garages, additions, and remodeling, cust

om homes including log and timber frame homes, custom decks and hardscapes. Speck Contracting also offers other services such as excavation, land clearing, septic install and repair, carpentry, portable sawmill and custom sawing, etc. In a nutshell we have the tools, experience and expertise for most any project. We offer services including trenching, digging, grading and septic systems. We are West Virginia Class II certified septic installer/repairer. We also have extensive knowledge in dealing with rock and rock hammering. Land Clearing

We offer land clearing services including tree and brush removal, grubbing out roots and grading. Septic Systems

We are West Virginia Class II Septic System certified. Our services include design, installation and repair of conventional and alternative septic systems. Carpentry

We have over 25 years carpentry experience, including design, custom stick framing, heavy timber framing and log home framing. Portable Sawmill

Our portable band sawmill can handle logs up to 20 feet in length and 36 inches in diameter. This hydraulic sawmill has the power to cut any size lumber for our customers quickly and efficiently.
