This project will be our last solar install of the year. Sorry for any of those customers that didn't get in on the 30% tax credit but that doesn't mean solar is going away. It will still be a viable energy alternative and we will continue the local service to our customers in the future.

Here is a hint at supply and demand. The cost of electricity will continue to rise with increased demand. Installing solar now can level the playing field for your cost of electricity in the future!

Demand for electricity is expected to outpace inflation through 2026 based on analysis by the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

Retail electricity prices include generation costs, transmitting, and delivering electricity to customers, as well as taxes and other fees. Electricity expenditures are second only to gasoline for most consumers.

Data centers, electrifying transit (cars), computer chip manufacturing, and electrifying buildings will drive demand in the Northwest according to the NW Power and conservation Council. Demand in the northwest could DOUBLE by 2046! Consumers can also expect power costs to increase as the demand for electricity increases.

Despite these challenges, Fall River Electric Cooperative will continue to work hard to keep costs low and reliability high.

Another great grid tie project completed right here in the Ruby Valley. We were happy to obtain grant funding from Northwestern Energy to get this project partially paid for. This system will help the Sheridan Public Library reduce their operating costs for years to come. Thanks go out to the Library Board, Library Employees, Friends of the Library and the Town of Sheridan for coming up with the balance of funding and support. There is a live web based portal that can be accessed to see real time data of the systems production that will be available at the library.
