One thing we will always support is civic and community engagement! We were thrilled to provide lunch for Leadership Fannin last week between visits with local leaders and officials! It is important to understand systems and practices that keep our intergovernmental relationships connected as they work together to provide beautiful and safe communities. Thank you City of Bonham, Texas and Bonham Area Chamber of Commerce for providing citizens the opportunity to participate in this class and expand their local knowledge of Fannin County.

Forklifts are essential on construction sites, but safe operation is what keeps projects moving and people protected. From daily inspections and proper load handling to operator training and situational awareness, every safe decision matters.

At Plyler Construction, safety is more than a policy—it’s part of our culture and our commitment to every employee, trade partner, and client.

Safety is more than a priority at Plyler; it’s part of who we are. With over 65 years as a family-owned company, we’ve always believed that taking care of our people comes first, and that mindset carries through every jobsite and every project we deliver.

This year’s theme, “All In Together: Recognize, Respond, Respect,” reflects that commitment. From identifying risks, to taking action, to fostering a culture built on respect — these aren’t just principles, they’re part of how our entire team operates every day.

We are also proud to be recognized with two safety awards from the American Institute of Steel Construction. These honors reflect the consistent standards our team upholds and the responsibility we carry for one another.

Because at the end of the day, safety isn’t just part of the job — it’s part of what makes our projects uniquely built with the Plyler Standard.

A few weeks ago, we had the honor of attending the ribbon cutting for the new Pilot Point Fire Department & Police Station — celebrating first responders, alongside leadership and the community, who will serve from it every day.

We’re excited to share a closer look at the finished project and we are honored to have been part of a building a facility that supports those who serve and protect a growing community like Pilot Point.
