🚨 Winter Weather Advisory – Heat Pump Settings 🚨

Grayson County Residents

With the extreme winter weather and very low outdoor temperatures, we strongly recommend that homeowners with heat pump systems take the following steps to help maintain indoor comfort and avoid system strain:

🔹 Switch your system from Heat Pump mode to Emergency Heat (Aux/E-Heat)
When temperatures drop this low, heat pumps lose efficiency and may struggle to keep up. Emergency heat uses electric heat strips, which are designed to provide reliable heat during extreme cold.

🔹 If you notice your system running constantly but not warming your home, switching to Emergency Heat can help stabilize indoor temperatures.

⚠️ Important Note: Emergency heat does use more electricity, but it is often the safest and most effective option during severe cold snaps like this.
If you are unsure how to switch your thermostat to Emergency Heat or have concerns about your system, contact us.
