This project in Amity Harbor was quite unique in that the engineering company (Havelin Engineering) specified that the existing block foundation and footing be reused. In addition to saving time, this would also save the homeowner unnecessary expenses. It would be necessary to support the existing foundation and footing with 20 local piles before it could be used.
