The latest 6–10 day temperature outlook continues to favor below normal temperatures across the Northeast. Fortunately, with us now well into June, below normal doesn't mean cold. In fact, it would likely translate to very comfortable weather with pleasantly warm afternoons, cooler nights, and generally lower humidity compared to what we typically experience this time of year.

Good Morning Long Island and NYC!
A beautiful summer day is on tap across the region as an area of high pressure remains in control. Expect plenty of sunshine from start to finish with comfortable humidity levels and temperatures right where they should be for the middle of June.
Later tonight, we'll keep an eye on a weak area of low pressure passing to our south. Most locations stay dry, but a few isolated showers could brush parts of the area toward daybreak Wednesday. In addition, the recent new moon combined with a persistent southerly flow may lead to minor tidal splash-over issues in a few vulnerable South Shore locations around the times of high tide.
