Smart technology is helping us respond faster than ever before.

This device, called a TripSaver, helps reduce the impact of temporary power interruptions caused by things like tree branches, lightning, or other momentary faults. In many cases, it can automatically restore power within seconds without requiring a crew to respond. It's one of the many technologies SWEPCO is deploying across our system to keep power flowing and improve reliability across our system.

Technology can't stop every outage, but it helps us restore power faster while remaining safe and efficient when outages happen.

SWEPCO was proud to sponsor and volunteer at the 25th Annual Polk County Handicapable Rodeo in Mena, Arkansas!

Our employees spent the day helping participants enjoy horse and mule rides, roping activities, hayrides and time with some very special four-legged friends. Rob brought two of his mules for participants to pet, feed and ride, while Festus provided horse rides and helped teach roping skills alongside his sons.

The Handicapable Rodeo gives children and adults with disabilities and developmental challenges the opportunity to experience the excitement of rodeo activities in a safe, welcoming environment.

Thank you to the organizers, volunteers and families who make this incredible event possible year after year. We are honored to be part of a tradition that has brought smiles to the community for 25 years.

As part of SWEPCO's system-wide pole replacement program, crews are proactively replacing utility poles across our service territory to help strengthen the electric distribution system and improve reliability for customers. This three-year initiative began in September 2024, and we're already more than halfway complete, with 4,192 poles replaced so far this year and 25,000 replaced since the program began. By upgrading critical infrastructure, we're helping our system better withstand severe weather and the ongoing environmental challenges poles face in our region. It's all part of our commitment to delivering safe, reliable power to the communities we serve.
