Plaatwerk- en Konstruktiebedrijf van de Klundert is a customer of official Beveltools dealer in The Netherlands, Metaaltechniek handelsonderneming b.v.

They are a steel fabrication company working on demanding projects like offshore platforms, drilling rigs, bridge construction, and transformer stations.

Edge finishing is a serious requirement in their field. Paint specifications at P3 level mean cut edges must be properly rounded to R2. With hundreds of meters of edges to process per project, doing it twice is not an option.

They told us how grinding used to make that difficult. Switching to the Bevel Mate® EBA changed that. Set it up correctly, replace the cutter on time, and the result stays consistent from start to finish. We also talked about working with laser- and plasma-cut S355, cutter wear and lubrication.

Beveltools visited Metaalindustrie, a company producing a wide range of high-quality structures, from pontoons and bridges to and machine components.

What stood out when we observed their production process on the work floor: it’s not just about speed, but also predictable results.

In projects with high coating requirements, that consistency is critical. With a machine, they achieve a uniform and consistently meet strict specifications. As they put it: consistency makes the difference, and a grinding tool doesn't quite cut it.

They still use a tool, but for touch-ups. At their site, we saw that a Beveltools machine and a grinding tool can work in accord.
