💡Plumbing Tip: Check your outdoor spigots for freeze damage!

❄️ Freezing temperatures can do more damage than you think.

Even if your outdoor faucet looks fine, cold snaps can cause small cracks inside the spigot or supply line. You may not notice an issue until temperatures warm up, and by then, it could turn into a leak or water damage.

Take a minute to turn it on briefly and check for:
- Dripping water
- Reduced pressure
- Moisture around the base

Catching small issues now can save you from bigger repairs later.

A little prep now can help prevent frozen or burst pipes later.

✔️ Cover and disconnect outdoor spigots
✔️ Remove outdoor hoses
✔️ Open cabinets under sinks
✔️ Let faucets drip
✔️ Keep your thermostat set to at least 60°

Save this post and take a few minutes to prepare before temperatures drop.

With potential snow in the forecast this weekend and colder temps settling in, now’s the perfect time for a quick HVAC check at home ❄️
A few easy steps can help keep your system running safely and efficiently:
✔ Change your air filter
✔ Clear snow away from your heat pump
✔ Keep high-efficiency furnace exhaust and intake pipes clear
These small habits help prevent breakdowns, improve airflow, and keep your home warm all winter long.

💡HVAC Tip: Lower your thermostat while you're away!

❄️Before the holiday hustle begins, here’s a smart winter reminder:
Setting your thermostat to around 55°F while you’re away helps protect your home and lower energy costs.

55°F is recommend because it’s warm enough to prevent frozen pipes and HVAC issues, without wasting energy. Dropping into the 40s or turn on your system off altogether may seem tempting—but it increases the risk of frozen plumbing hidden in walls, attics, and basements.

Yesterday marked the Winter Solstice — the first day of winter and the longest night of the year. ❄️

As winter takes hold, comfort at home often comes from the things you don’t have to think about — reliable hot water, safe gas appliances, and plumbing that works the way it should.

Winter comfort tip:
Cold temperatures can put extra stress on plumbing and gas systems. If you notice slow drains, unusual odors, or inconsistent hot water, it’s best to address them early before small issues turn into bigger winter problems.

On the longest night of the year, there’s comfort in knowing what’s working — and that support is always close by if you need it.
