Some of the biggest leaps in biology are happening where fields overlap β€” where advanced imaging, data science, and computational modeling meet.

This fall, we're bringing a cross-disciplinary community together, in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, to address the practical integration of these diverse methodologies.

Integrative Structural Biology: Bridging Fields, Techniques, and Scales is about real collaboration across cryo-EM, deep learning, and multi-scale imaging β€” sessions like Meet the Editors and the Career Roundtable are built for early-career scientists to connect with leaders in the field. πŸ’™

In case you missed it β€” our Fellow Spotlight on Dr. Thu (Autumn) Doan is a great read. πŸ’™

Dr. Doan is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus studying how immune cells within pancreatic islets contribute to type 1 diabetes progression β€” work that could open new doors for treatment and prevention.

But her spotlight is just as much about community. From finding her voice in the Fellows Program to leading the CU Anschutz Postdoctoral Association and mentoring the next generation of scientists, Autumn is building the kind of scientific community she believes every researcher deserves.

"Being part of such a community encourages me to push beyond my limits, refine my goals, and strive for greater impact in my work."

Discover Dr. Thu Doan's groundbreaking research on type 1 diabetes, her impactful mentorship journey, and the power of community in scientific advancement.

25 years of service to Keystone Symposia. A lifetime devoted to science. ✨

We're proud to honor Walter Moos, who becomes an Emeritus Board Member of Keystone Symposia today, July 1, 2026.

Walter has spent more than fifty years at the leading edge of science and medicine β€” leading research at pharmaceutical giants, co-founding biotech companies, teaching at UCSF, and volunteering decades of his expertise to Keystone Symposia. Through it all, one principle has guided him: do well by doing good.

To a generation of scientists who want to build careers of real impact, his advice is simple: be a sponge, cultivate your relationships, and remember β€” the difficult we do immediately. The impossible takes only a little longer.

Read his story on the KeyPoint blog.
