FYI...

Update 1.12.22 6:45am: crews have worked continuously overnight to restore service. Work continues this morning and will not stop until every customer is taken care of. If you are a customer without service, please call 615-355-5740 with questions.

We are grateful for this department and for your patience.

Update 11:28pm: Thank you for your continued patience as crews work to restore service to all impacted residents. We don’t have a timeframe for completion; all personnel are onsite working as quickly as possible to safely restore service.

We know you have questions; calls after hours are routed to Smyrna Police Department dispatch personnel who are working to serve those experiencing emergencies. Thank you for only calling if you are experiencing an emergency.

Update 7:30pm: Gas being put back in McFarland Pointe. We will be bleeding the air out of the line so customers may smell gas. Once line is purged of air, meters will be turned back on and any pilots lit, as necessary.

Attention Smyrna Natural Gas customers:

We are experiencing a gas outage as a result of low pressure on our system. Crews are working diligently on repairs; please anticipate this outage lasting several hours.

Impacted areas are in La Vergne and include:

Centre Point Warehouses
Cedar Ridge Apartments
New Paul Road
Waldron Road
Blair Road (La Vergne end)
The Ridge subdivision
Lake Road
McFarlin Pointe
Rock Springs Elementary School

January's Outstanding Teacher of the Month is Tyler McCoy!
Tyler was nominated for her incredible dedication to her Rockvale Elementary School CDC students.
"Ask anyone and they’ll tell you. Tyler has such a heart and passion for special needs that you can immediately sense it, and the children become so comfortable with her as soon as she’s around them. She calms them down and let’s them know it’s ok to be different, all while pushing her children to learn and be better students. I’ve been with her while she’s out in public shopping (before COVID) and her children LIGHT UP whenever they see her. They smile from ear to ear and they run to hug her. It doesn’t matter what Tyler is doing, how busy she is, or even how many things she’s trying to juggle; she stops and hugs them and loves on them like they are her own children."
