MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of the Grader Operator include, but are not limited to:
Operate the grader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
Operate Grader on public roadways, maintaining proper awareness of ones surroundings.
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the grader.
KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
The Grader Operator will establish working relationships with all employees of the organization.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand, walk, stoop and bend on job site.
TRAINING/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Grader Operator.
Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
Excellent problem-solving skills required.
Knowledge of road construction materials, road construction processes and industry requirements.
Understanding of machine controls.
Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
Must be a team player.
Must have proven ability to work in tight spots.
Attention to detail with good hand eye co-ordination.
Ability to work in physically demanding conditions.
Committed to working in a safe and efficient manner.
Appropriate PPE.
Successful candidates are required to have personal reliable transportation, valid driver’s license.
