Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We are grateful for their courage, dedication, and the legacy they’ve left behind.

May we never forget the cost of our liberty and strive to build a community and a nation worthy of their sacrifice. Wishing everyone a meaningful Memorial Day.

Our logo is more than just a design; it symbolizes the transformation possible through faith, hard work, and community support. Every element tells a story of hope, renewal, and the lives we’ve had the privilege of impacting.

At the core of our logo is the cross, representing the faith-based foundation of Gimme A Break, LLC. It’s a daily reminder that “through God, all things are possible” (Philippians 4:13) and that we are called to offer second chances and rebuild lives.

The crossed hammers and welding mask highlight our dedication to skilled craftsmanship and excellence. As we work, we remember: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord” (Colossians 3:23).

Our name, “Gimme-A-Break,” and the supportive “General Contractor” U-shape, capture our mission to provide fresh starts and support our community, “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2).

The colors, rich red, crisp white, and bold black, reflect strength, integrity, and depth, inspired by the truth that “the Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me” (Psalm 28:7).

We also want to express our appreciation to Last Frontier Designs for bringing this vision to life. Their creativity, dedication, and understanding of our mission helped transform our ideas into a symbol that truly represents who we are and what we stand for.

Ultimately, our logo stands as a testament to the promise of transformation:
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Listening to God’s Call: How Gimme A Break, LLC Found Its Online Voice

Last year, I had the privilege of sharing my testimony at the Set Free Alaska Gala, a night I’ll never forget. What I didn’t know then was how God was moving behind the scenes, orchestrating connections that would shape the future of Gimme A Break, LLC.

After I spoke, Neal Therrien, the owner of Last Frontier Designs, approached me with a business-changing but straightforward question: “Do you have an online presence?” At the time, I didn’t. That’s when Neal shared how, during my testimony, God spoke to him and said, “You can help his business. Create an online presence for him.”

Without hesitation, Neal offered to design a logo, build a website, and set up our social media, all pro bono, simply because he was listening to God’s call. It was humbling and a clear reminder that God provides exactly what we need, exactly when we need it.

For me, Gimme A Break, LLC has always been more than just a general contracting business. It’s a mission rooted in faith, offering second chances, building skills, and transforming lives through hard work and God’s grace. Seeing someone step up and use their gifts to support this vision was a powerful confirmation that we’re on the right path.

This journey has shown me how God brings the right people together at the right time, and that amazing things happen when we step out in faith. I’m grateful for Neal’s obedience and generosity, and I’m excited to see how God continues to use Gimme A Break, LLC to make a difference in Alaska.
