We’re pleased to welcome Wes Sloan to Form Energy as Chief Operating Officer.

Wes brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across advanced manufacturing, energy, aerospace, and automotive. He joins Form from Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America, where he served as EVP overseeing their multi-billion dollar Nevada battery operation and a team of over 4,500 people. Prior to Panasonic, Wes spent 12 years at Rolls-Royce, including as Director of Operations for Assembly and Test.

As Form continues to accelerate scale-up of our iron-air battery manufacturing and commercial deployment, Wes’s deep operational leadership, expertise in high-volume battery production, and background as a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt will be instrumental in driving our next phase of growth and operational excellence.

🇺🇸 Exciting to see Form Energy's role in the Power Up New England initiative spotlighted by the Office of Electricity, U.S. Department of Energy!

Power Up New England is a transformative public-private partnership between the six New England states, utilities, Form Energy, and the U.S. Department of Energy. As part of the initiative, we’ll deploy an 85 MW / 8,500 MWh multi-day battery system – built with iron-air batteries made at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV – at the site of a former pulp and tissue mill in Lincoln, ME.

Capable of continuously dispatching power for 100 hours, the system will strengthen the reliability and affordability of New England's grid during periods of stress – like harsh winters – while delivering direct economic benefits to the local Lincoln community through lease payments, property tax revenue, and construction jobs.

Special thanks to our project partners, including the U.S. Department of Energy, the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources, and the Maine Department of Energy Resources. Together, we’re advancing American energy security, domestic manufacturing, and grid modernization for New England and the country.
