Saturday July 25, Mishawaka’s Mayor Dave Wood and the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council unveiled Project Shoe City, a new public art trail celebrating the city’s history as “Shoe City” a center of American shoe manufacturing and the home of the iconic Red Ball Jet.

LFA was proud to support the project and create one of its 15 giant shoe sculptures. Our design brings together maps, historic images, familiar landmarks, and projects that have helped shape Mishawaka, celebrating both the city’s industrial roots and the community it continues to build today. LFA planned, designed, and executed the project. A big thanks to our in-house artists and staff for helping LFA celebrate such an important part of Mishawaka’s history.

Last Thursday, LFA welcomed nearly 75 clients, partners, colleagues, and staff to our South Bend office to celebrate the completion of Phase One of our building renovation.
The project transformed roughly one-quarter of our office, creating a more open and flexible layout while also incorporating major building improvements, that included upgraded HVAC and electrical systems.
