🔨 Sometimes the small details make the whole project come together!

As part of this remodel, we recently built a new TV/fireplace feature wall, but there was one problem: the existing HVAC floor register was located right where the new wall needed to go.

Instead of covering it up or compromising the new layout, we relocated the register to a new location along the wall and tied it back into the existing ductwork underneath.

Now the new fireplace wall can sit exactly where it was designed to, while the room still gets the airflow it needs. 👌

It’s the stuff you won’t see when the project is finished that often takes the most planning.

This transformation came out CLEAN. 👌

A little prep (shout out to Alexandra Foster for getting them all ready), a fresh coat of paint, and these doors went from dated fiberboard “wood”to a smooth, modern black finish.

That’s probably my favorite question to hear.

Some of the best memories aren’t made after the project is finished, they’re made while we’re covered in paint, putting cabinet doors back together, or letting little hands roll paint on a wall for the first time.

These moments remind me why I started BMK Construction & Repair in the first place. It’s about helping people create homes they’re proud of, while building memories of my own along the way.

🔨 A solid floor starts with a solid foundation.

Most people only see the finished flooring but what they don’t see is what makes it last.

On this project, we removed damaged subflooring, inspected the framing, and carefully leveled the floor system before installing new subfloor. Every section was checked with a level to ensure the finished floor will be flat, sturdy, and squeak-free.

🌙 Another week in the books.

Friday nights look a little different for me. Tonight I’m on shift serving our community, but I’m already looking forward to getting back to building next week.

This week was filled with paint, sawdust, measuring, sanding, and making progress on some great projects. Every home we work on is another opportunity to earn someone’s trust, and that’s something we never take for granted.

Looking ahead, next week’s schedule is already shaping up with:
