Cal Wadsworth Construction (CWC), a General Contractor based in South Jordan, UT, is looking for a Project Manager with 5+ years of experience to oversee the management of small to medium sized public/private commercial projects. An ideal candidate will take a proactive role in managing current projects, improving processes, and helping to grow our business.
Responsibilities
Project Manager responsibilities and abilities include but are not limited to the list below. Other duties may be assigned.
Oversee the successful scheduling, ex*****on, and closeout of commercial projects ranging from $1-$5 million in value.
Work closely with CWC leadership and report on project progress.
Plan, organize and manage materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
Establish project objectives, schedules, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
Proactively recognize and manage potential change orders/value engineering issues on projects.
Initiate and maintain liaison with all project stakeholders to facilitate construction activities.
Work closely with project Superintendent to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
Participate in project meetings, CWC strategy meetings, goal setting, and personal development initiatives.
Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with Client.
Negotiate, execute, and track Change Orders
Prepare and update P6 scheduling for all jobs
Monthly tracking of profit and loss on all jobs
Weekly tracking of Labor performance on all jobs
Handle all correspondence with Owner and Subcontractors
Create a positive image for company by managing quality control on projects
Uphold & maintain all safety policies and standards on all Projects.
Review & finalize project costs & adjustments upon project completion
Review job performance with upper management after completion
Perform design reviews on design build projects
Assume additional responsibilities as directed.
Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of experience/knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management required.; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of 5 years of work experience and understanding of all phases of commercial construction.
A minimum of 5 years of reading blueprint and specs for commercial projects.
Strong communicator who is committed to honesty and transparency.
Proven ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Must possess the interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with the owner, owner’s rep, architect/engineer and subcontractor’s management and field personnel confidently and fairly.
Knowledge of OSHA/UOSH regulations, certification, and the ability to enforce OSHA/UOSH and company safety on site.
Extensive knowledge of “CPM Scheduling”. Must be able to create accurate baseline CPM schedules and update them regularly.
Strong computer skills with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, & Project. Proficiency with ProCore PM software is preferred.
Strong knowledge of all building codes and/or display an ability to comprehend and direct trades in code compliance.
Must have the knowledge and experience to creatively solve field related issues/problems which maintain the project quality and profitability.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
