MFS Engineers & Surveyors spotlights the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal, where we provided geotechnical engineering services for the 73-acre project supporting the Empire Wind 1 offshore wind farm.

Developed by the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) and Sustainable South Brooklyn Marine Terminal (SSBMT) - a joint venture of Red Hook Terminals and Industry City, the facility will serve as a staging and assembly hub for turbine components and include a substation connecting wind power to the city’s grid.
MFS is proud to help build the foundation for a cleaner tomorrow.
