This home had a front entrance that was functional, but it was missing a little something. The homeowner opted for a porch because they wanted an outdoor space that would also add charm and curb appeal to their home. So, we built them a front porch! The spacious design gives them plenty of room to sit and relax, while the natural wood addwarmth and character to the front of the home. Now, instead of just being a stoop, the front of their home has become a space they can actually enjoy.

Been spending time out on your deck this summer and starting to realize it might be time for an upgrade? ☀️

As Minnesotans, our time spent outside is precious! Sure, you can enjoy the summer on a worn-down deck, but it's a whole lot nicer to do it on a new one. These homeowners wanted to be able to take advantage of their outdoor space, but their deck was on its last leg. This deck didn’t just need a new paint job - it needed to be completely replaced. So, we demoed the old deck and built a new one with Cedartone treated wood. We also added privacy walls on each side of the deck to turn the backyard into more of an oasis. Now, these homeowners can make the most of their time outside without their old deck bringing down the vibe.

Do you have a garage that you're afraid to use because it looks like if the right gust of wind came along it could topple over? 💨

We got a lot of good in progress pics on this one - swipe to the end to get an idea of everything that goes into this kind of project!

This garage had certainly seen better days. The homeowners wanted something that would not only function better but also improve the curb appeal of their property. They have a cute late-1930s stucco home, and that garage just wasn't jiving with it. There was no repairing the garage, so we had to demo it and start from scratch. Almost anything would have been an improvement over the original garage, but we think this one turned out particularly well. Now, the homeowners can actually park their cars in their garage without worrying about that gust of wind. ✨

Meet our new Project Manager, Vince! (AKA our office dog Bruce’s new favorite person 🐾)

Vince got his start working alongside our owner, Ron, in the field for a local roofing company. When Ron launched his remodeling company in the late 90s, Vince joined the team and worked his way from the field into management and sales.

Since then, Vince has owned his own remodeling company and spent the last decade in commercial construction management. Now, he’s come full circle and is back working with Ron as part of the DeTomaso Construction team.

After more than 30 years in the industry, Vince has seen just about everything a jobsite can throw his way. He’s already been a great addition to our team, and we’re excited to have him on board!

When he’s not on a jobsite or in the office, Vince enjoys golfing, tackling projects around the house, and spending time with his wife and their two daughters.

This bathroom had good bones, but it was definitely stuck in the early 2000s. 😅 A lot of 2000s trends are coming back in style - hopefully, the revival sticks to juicy tracksuits because this interior design deserves to stay in the past.

This bathroom may not have been falling apart, but it was definitely due for an update! The homeowners wanted a brighter, more modern space that felt less BEIGE. They opted for light tile flooring, a sleek glass shower door, modern cabinetry, and matte black fixtures to completely refresh the space. Now, this bathroom feels less like a beige 2000s fever dream and more like a relaxing, modern retreat.✨

Still rocking that pink mid-century bathroom that’s just not vibing with your modern style? You’re definitely not alone – those pink tiles were all the rage in the '50s and '60s! 😂

This bathroom was original to the home, which was built in 1949 🤯. It had a good run, but the homeowners were ready for a change. They didn’t want to cover the bathroom in pink tiles again, but they also didn’t want to turn it into a plain, cookie-cutter space. Somehow, they managed to seamlessly blend their modern style while honoring the age of their home. They opted for plenty of modern elements but also included classic touches, like the mint green wainscoting, penny tile shower floor, and gold fixtures. Now, their bathroom is a fresh, new space that still feels cohesive with the rest of their older home!

Still coming to terms with the fact that you need to refinish your wood deck yet again this summer? You know what kind of deck wouldn’t do you like that? A maintenance-free one! 😎

These clients came to us because they were over the constant upkeep of their wood deck. Luckily, the existing frame of their deck was still in good shape, so we were able to reuse most of it. This saved on costs for the clients and cut down on waste. We replaced the rest of the deck with maintenance-free composite decking. Now these clients have a deck they can spend their time enjoying instead of maintaining!
