For more than 20 years, John’s family has trusted Binder for both residential HVAC service and restaurant work throughout the Twin Cities. Recently, when his elderly mother needed a furnace replacement during a stretch of unpredictable spring weather, our team worked behind the scenes to make sure she wasn’t left without heat.
🗯️ "About 4 weeks ago, with the heat not working properly, Binder came out and diagnosed my mother's furnace as having a bad heat exchanger and let us know it would soon be going out. They got the furnace to run during some very cold days as to keep heat flowing in her home."
"Eventually, the heat exchanger did fully go out. While my mother was out of town, I thought that it would be a good time to have it replaced, and since the weather was in the 60s-70s, there was no real urgency to get it done right away."
"The part needed had to be special ordered. Binder ordered it from the vendor, and it was scheduled to arrive this past Monday for install to be made Wednesday morning, just in time before we got another cold spell."
"Dana and Allyson worked diligently to try to find a way to get it overnighted, which they did. However, as sometimes happens, the shipping company was slow-footing it and showed it hadn't left the warehouse in the timeframe they said it would and that the install would be pushed back till Thursday morning."
"Not a big deal if it was for my home, but for an elderly person, not having heat was a big deal. Dana called me Tuesday morning and told me that space heaters would be dropped off to my mother's home to make sure she wasn't without heat, and she would keep me posted if any changes. That in itself was amazing."
"Then about an hour later, Allyson called me and told me one of their techs WAS GOING TO PICK UP THE PART DIRECTLY FROM THE VENDOR HIMSELF, and that they would be there Wednesday morning as originally scheduled to install it. Which they did. Not only did they leave everything as clean and tidy as they found it, but they were extremely friendly and professional."
