Director of After Market Service & Sales

JOB SUMMARY:
Overall responsibility for the sales and development for the After Market Service and Sales (AMS &S) products including; field service, in-house repairs, spare parts and technical support. Responsible for anticipating and exceeding customers’ expectations for product sales, while maximizing the contribution of the businesses. Directly responsible for the Organizations profitability, bookings and forecast. Additional responsibility for development of value added programs development while broadening of the customer base.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a professional manner agreeable to customers, clients, co-workers and management.
Exercise responsibility for the AMS & S operations.
Develop sales and margin forecasts to support business planning.
Develop and maintain a database of the installed equipment and opportunities for the installed base.
Understand sales applications and customer requirements and working closely with all other departments to identify and realize new opportunities to expand the services businesses including new customer acquisition.
Establishing and maintaining an effective customer communications and technical program.
Improving product support and sales process for older models creating new channels for upgrades and rerates.
Creating a culture of urgency and communications and of exceeding customer expectations.
Performs all functions under “General Responsibilities of Management Positions,” including responsibility for established “Ethics and Compliance” policies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong analytical, planning, and project management abilities with data analysis skills.
Experience in troubleshooting techniques and field service management.
Experience with foreign and domestic customers.
Experience in adapting to strict customer schedules under difficult situations.
Experience with marketing plan development for aftermarket support programs.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business.
10+ years of management experience in aftermarket sales, service, spare parts and/or a global field service organization with track record of continuous performance improvement.
Good working knowledge of all business processes in an engineered solutions organization.
