CP Engineers' Senior Regulatory Specialist, Joseph M. Mikulka, is once again teaching classes this summer in Rutgers University’s Environment and Public Health (EPH) Course. Joe has served as the Faculty Coordinator and Professor of the Environmental Pollution Section of the Course for over 26 years. The EPH course is a two-month intensive course offered each summer by Rutgers’ NJAES Office of Continuing Professional Education to train students for employment in local public health service (County and Municipal Health Departments) and help prepare them to take the Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) examination administered by the N.J. Department of Health.

CP was excited to be in attendance this week at the NJ Conference of Mayors 61st Annual Spring Conference at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City.

The conference once again gave us the opportunity to meet with municipal leaders, state officials, partners, exhibitors, and guests from across New Jersey.

We are grateful to have strengthened our connections and to bring valuable ideas back to the communities we serve.

We’re proud to have showcased one of CP Engineers’ marquee projects at the 2026 NJWEA Annual Conference in Atlantic City.

A special thank you to NJWEA for hosting and moderating our session, where our Chief Operating Officer, Meghan Burbank, LEED AP, and Project Manager, Tim Wuestneck, PE, presented “New Sanitary Sewer System at Island Beach State Park.”

This project represents a significant engineering achievement, delivering a state-of-the-art vacuum collection system on one of New Jersey’s last undeveloped barrier islands. The solution required innovative, environmentally sensitive design to replace aging septic infrastructure while preserving the integrity of a highly protected coastal ecosystem.

We’re honored to contribute to critical infrastructure that balances performance, resilience, and environmental stewardship, and to share these insights with industry peers and the broader public.

CP Engineers was pleased to enjoy a day of golf with CIANJ at the Upper Montclair Country Club in Clifton, NJ. It was CIANJ’s 58th Annual Spring Golf Outing, and CP Engineers was a “Hole Sponsor”. CP’s Aaron Dickerson and John Puszcz enjoyed the afternoon of golf alongside Anthony Guzzo and meeting with other members and colleagues. A special thank you to Kathy Agudo and Anthony Russo from CIANJ for hosting this wonderful event.

CP is excited to attend the NJ Conference of Mayors 61st Annual Spring Conference next week, May 19-21, at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City.

CP looks forward to renewing connections and conversations with NJ Mayors at this important three-day event. We will be at exhibitor hall, space #124, as well as attending panel sessions and events and enjoying the signature ROCK THE BLOCK reception.

CP Engineers is excited to be participating in the NJWEA’s Annual Conference & Exposition this week in Atlantic City. CP’s Senior Executive Vice President Stephen Donati, PE along with members of the Northwest Bergen County Utilities Authority enjoyed a full day of golf at the 49th Annual NJWEA Golf Outing at the Blue Heron Pines Golf Club.

CP then celebrated our Senior Design Engineer Jeffrey Rantzer, PE who received a Lifetime Membership Award at the NJWEA Awards Ceremony. CP also continues to participate at this year’s conference by attending sessions and specialized workshops, and meeting with industry experts, clients, and colleagues.

CP is excited to attend the New Jersey Water Environment Association’s John J. Lagrosa, 111th Annual Conference & Exposition next week, May 11–15, at Harrah’s Atlantic City.

CP will begin the week with Senior Executive Vice President Stephen Donati, PE participating in the 49th Annual NJWEA Golf Outing, followed by the NJWEA President’s Award Reception, where CP’s Senior Design Engineer Jeffrey Rantzer, PE will receive a Life Membership Award.

CP Senior Project Manager Melissa Caliente, PE and Project Manager Tim Wuestneck, PE will be attending workshops during the week, capped off by CP’s Chief Operating Officer, Meghan Burbank, presenting “New Sanitary Sewer at Island Beach State Park” on Thursday May 14, as part of the 2026 Collection System Operator’s Workshop.

We hope to see you there where we can meet and discuss your water, wastewater and construction projects and solutions.

Joseph Mikulka, CP’s Senior Regulatory Specialist and part-time master educator at the Friends of the New Jersey School of Conservation (NJSOC), along with fellow educator Carolyn Seifried, recently represented the NJSOC at the Morris County Academy for Environmental Science’s Annual EcoFest held at Jefferson Township High School. The Academy for Environmental Science, associated with the Morris County School of Technology, accepts students from all Morris County sending districts, and is hosted by Jefferson Township Public Schools (JTHS).

NJSOC provides experiential environmental and social education to primary, secondary and college students and faculty, as well as programs for the general public, at its beautiful campus in Stokes State Forest (Sandyston).
