Is Your Attic Fan Actually Working?

Your attic can get extremely hot during the summer, and that heat transfers into the living space below. Proper attic ventilation helps remove excess heat and can reduce the heat load placed on your home.

We recently found an attic fan with a failed motor. The fan wasn't doing its job, allowing the attic to continue building up heat.

A properly operating attic ventilation system can help:

• Reduce heat buildup in the attic
• Reduce the amount of heat transferred into the living space
• Help your A/C system handle the summer heat more effectively
• Improve the overall cooling efficiency of your home
• Reduce unnecessary strain on your cooling system

If you have an attic fan, make sure the motor, thermostat, wiring, and fan blade are all operating properly.
