Last week we lost a at the beginning of her professional career. Let’s say her name: Amber Czech. Let’s post her pic. Let’s let her family, loved ones, the industry and the world know she was one of us. She was the sister we had not yet met. ❤️🩹
hosted a forum the next day to discuss the tragic loss of Amber and address workplace violence. We attended. We are now waiting to hear their suggestions as to how women in construction can move forward and help prevent devastating losses like Amber. ❤️🩹
The posted about Amber today to honor her memory and support her family. AWS chose to be respectful to the family and did not post her photo. Please, if you follow AWS, don’t overlook a post without pics. AWS is deeply concerned about members of the welding community and feels strongly about this tragic loss. AWS members and representatives will be attending a funeral that never should have happened.
Obviously, Weld Like A Girl™️ affiliates are heartbroken by the fact that Amber was taken from this world in such a violent and senseless way. We will be working to help create scholarships and memorials in Amber’s honor.
