Wishing everyone a joyful Independence Day weekend from All K Scruggs Heating & A/C, Inc. Our office is currently closed to allow our team members to spend quality time with their families. IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN ……Where Duke Energy is starting to implement the Power Manager Plan. It has been called many different things throughout the years from $mart Saver, Energy Saver and so forth. I post about it every year and ask our customers if they are on the plan and a lot of people don’t know they are on it. We have seen the past 2 days that it’s NOT the HVAC SYSTEM causing your unit to not cool. Even had one customer that their box that was put on by Duke Energy was defective causing their unit to not come on. They were told it would be at least 2 weeks before they could get someone out to look at it (meaning no air). Luckily we were able to help out.
I attached the link below for information on how the plan works. I think it list the peak hours are 3-8 that your unit it cut off or cut back and should list a # to call that will tell you if it is implemented that day.
