We want to take a moment to recognize Aaron Parongao. Mr. Parongao has been working for NAD on our I-90 project in Coeur d’Alene and has been diligent with filling out high-quality personal Green Light Cards. The NAD Civil Safety Department has awarded him this prize for his persistent effort to make sure this card is an active tool towards his safe work performance and the culture of the jobsite.
The Green Light Card is filled out by our employees each day and is designed to help our employees identify hazards they are exposed to, assess the impacts of the hazards, and put the proper controls in place to protect themselves and coworkers. Taking the few minutes to complete these tasks is what builds the culture and safety record of NAD.

N.A. Degerstrom hit a new milestone on the I-90 highway project in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. We set our first batch of girders for 2026, with many more to continue over the coming months. The team worked professionally together to minimize lane closures, set the girders with precision, and was not impacted by last night's weather. It's going to be a great year on this job, and we are excited to see how much progress we make on this multiyear project.

Last week, at the Inland Northwest AGC Chapter Annual Convention, N.A. Degerstrom was awarded the 2025 Highway & Transportation Renovation award for our performance on the State Highway 55 Rainbow Bridge Repair. This is the second award we have received for this project. The video was presented by the AGC. This project is another testament to N.A. Degerstrom’s willingness to tackle hard projects and keep them on schedule. Thank you to the project team and crews, including ITD and David Evans and Associates, who worked with us to deliver such an amazing project.

N.A. Degerstrom has been a part of the Soda Springs, Idaho, community for 55 years, providing contract mining services. We have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know so many who worked for and with us over the years. As we conclude our services in Southeast Idaho, we wanted to express our appreciation and gratitude to so many who have been with us along that journey. In addition to just saying thanks, NAD has donated funds and partnered up with other local organizations in the area to support non-profit organizations in the surrounding communities that we feel will continue to help so many.

These groups include:
1. The City of Soda Springs – Ledger Creek Trail System. Land donated by Nutrien.
2. Soda Springs Parent Teacher Organization at Thikill Elementary
3. Caribou County Sheriff's Office – Funds for a new Drug Dog. Partnered with Nutrien
4. Bear Lake Education Foundation – FFA program
5. Get Outside And Live (GOAL) organization – promoting programs to improve health and wellness in Caribou County
6. Friends of the Soda Springs Park -
7. Caribou Field Archers
8. City of Bancroft – Partnered with LCR Crane and Transport/Morco Construction

NAD’s core value of Quality is on full display at the New York Canal Project in Boise. Our team and subcontractors are executing every step with precision: demolition and soil prep, liner installation, rebar placement and tying, and concrete forming and pouring. Project management and field crews are working hand in hand to ensure each task meets our high standards.

This project is just one of many NAD civil and mining projects where we strive to always provide the highest level of quality for our clients.

This is happening on Atlas Road, and a detour is in place for motor and pedestrian traffic. Please follow the in-place project signs for detour routes.

N.A. Degerstrom, Inc. is happy to announce that it will be working with High Mark Construction on a Heap Leach project in White Pine County, NV, in the coming months. For NAD, we will be using a 992 to load 100-ton haul trucks, and this should take about six months. NAD has completed the Silver Creek Bridge replacement in Ferry County, WA, just in time for the holiday season. The road officially opened 32 days ahead of schedule. There were no injuries, and they finished the project under budget.

Thanks to all the crews, subcontractors (Cates and Erb, M2 Industrial, Washington Green Hydroseeding), Consor Engineering, Ferry County Public Works, and Coffman Engineering for making this project a success. Also, the locals were so cooperative and friendly to the crews. That means a lot to us.
