Beautiful spring weather and a great couple of weeks. We started a new 8500sf stable build 2 houses down from the Hays Custom home build.
We set some massive trusses--66ft span with 2ft overhangs. 70ft wide x 12ft tall, each truss weighs 1400 #. Each truss bay we lifted covered 800 square feet!
We were invited back to the career fair at the local Jr high school to teach kids about construction as a career path. With all the cool tools and machines we get to use it's a easy sell for the kids. It takes all kinds to make this world go round, and those of us shaping it with our bare hands are very proud of what we do.
At the Hays Custom we got HVAC, electrical, and insulation completed thanks to great subs like . The amount of wiring in a modern house of this scale is incredible.
We've got a lot of background action happening for future projects, too, but contracts and paperwork dont make for good photos. Its going to continue to be a great year!
