The Pennsylvania Sawmill Company is hiring for the summer!
We are looking for a shop assistant at our fabrication shop location in Spring Mills, PA.
Tasks will include sanding and staining wood products, cleaning the shop location, and assisting with loading and unloading of products.
Applicants should be at least 16 years old. This is a summer position with potential for further employment.

Circle milled lumber. It used to be everywhere, but as band mills and big commercial mills began planing lumber to nominal dimensions, the ol’ circle milled texture became harder and harder to find.

The curving lines running along each face is the result of milling using a 36”+ stationary circular sawblade - and a log carriage moving back and forth to shape the beams and boards to their final dimensions.

After kiln drying, this material is full dimension- meaning an 8x12 beam measures a true 8” x 12”.

A unique detail we offer (in addition to band milled and planed smooth timber) as we aim to be a reliable sourcing partner for builders, trades, and capable DIY homeowners across the country.

Starting out the month of March with some CHUNKY monkey tongue and groove! This 3” thick pine was cut and kiln dried at our Lewisburg mill, then shaped with a T and G edge before being shipped out for a heavyweight ceiling.
