Murex Petroleum Corporation is seeking a highly dependable Automation & Artificial Lift Technician to join its Field Operations Team.

Experience:
2 years as an engineering tech or related field

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct Fluid Levels on every site monthly, dynamometers when requested
• Verify all flow meters are calibrated monthly, making adjustments as necessary
• Manage set-points on all VFD’s, as directed by the engineers
• Complete additional tasks as directed by Field Engineering Supervisor
• Assist chemical treatment supervisor with sampling as necessary
• As instrumentation tech – be the technical expert on instrumentation
o Flow meters
o Pressure transducers
o Guided wave radar
o Load cells

Qualifications and Requirements:

• General knowledge of spreadsheets and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge base with sucker rod lift and ESP artificial lift methods strongly preferred
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
• Team oriented mindset and ability to integrate with North Dakota personnel as well as Corporate Office staff
• Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision
• 2 years’ experience as an engineering tech or related field preferred
• 2 year technical degree preferred
• Experience with Echometer well analyzer beneficial
• Valid driver’s license
• Acceptable MVR
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug, alcohol and background screening

Schedule:

• Home daily
• Weekends
• Year round work

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Maintenance and repairs to production equipment
• Unloading of equipment and supplies
• Servicing well units
• Assembly and installation of equipment and tank batteries
• Ability to work with pumpers to learn routes and handle relief pumper duties
• Assembly or repair oil field equipment using hand and power tools
• Familiar with general construction and maintenance practices
• Perform other tasks as needed
