Roof Concepts Construction - Fix My Roof Houston We're Roof Concepts Construction. Serving Spring, The Woodlands, Conroe, Kingwood, Cypress & Houston. We don’t sell roofs.

A team of people who believe you deserve the full honest assessment of your roof — so you can make an educated decision on what's right for you. Roof Concepts Construction is a Spring, TX–based roofing contractor built around one core principle: help homeowners make the right roofing decision—repair or replacement—using real evidence, not sales pressure. Founded in 2020, we specialize in storm-imp

acted residential roofing and insurance-related claims across Greater Houston. Our process is documentation-driven and inspection-first, designed to clearly show what’s damaged, what isn’t, and what actually makes sense for the property. We primarily install asphalt shingle roofing systems and hold advanced manufacturer certifications, including TAMKO Pro Platinum and CertainTeed ShingleMaster. We work with Owens Corning and TAMKO materials and follow strict installation and verification standards on every project. In addition to roofing, we take on select commercial and remodeling projects when they align with our quality and accountability standards—but roofing remains our focus. We verify conditions, explain options, and let the facts drive the outcome.

PROJECT JOURNAL | EPISODE 6
Protection You'll Never See.

Most homeowners will never see this layer once the roof is complete.

But it's one of the most important.

Before a single Brava® Barrel Tile is installed, the entire roof deck is protected with Titanium® Ice & Water Shield—a premium self-adhering membrane that creates a watertight barrier over the roof deck.

Unlike traditional underlayments, Titanium® Ice & Water Shield seals around fasteners and provides an additional layer of protection in the areas of the roof most vulnerable to water intrusion. It's designed to help defend the home against wind-driven rain and moisture long before the finished roof is ever installed.

At Roof Concepts Construction, we believe a premium roof isn't defined by what you see from the street—it's defined by every layer working together beneath the surface.

Because lasting protection doesn't begin with the tile.

It begins with the system beneath it.

The roof is now protected, and the transformation continues as we begin installing the beautiful Brava® Barrel Tile roofing system.

PROJECT JOURNAL | DORMERS

As we continued opening up every aspect of the roof, the next chapter led us to the dormers.

Once the existing roofing system was removed, we discovered the dormers needed to be fully built out before the new roofing system could be installed properly.

Our team is rebuilding the dormers with the proper wood structure and full roof decking, adding insulation, and installing Ice & Water Shield to provide an additional barrier against water intrusion.

These aren't details you'll see once the project is complete, but they're some of the most important parts of building a roofing system that performs the way it should.

At Roof Concepts Construction, we believe lasting craftsmanship starts long before the finished roof goes on. Every layer, every detail, and every decision matters because we're not just replacing a roof—we're building a complete roofing system designed to protect this home for years to come.

Built Right. Stand Behind It.

PROJECT JOURNAL | EPISODE 5
Back to a Solid Foundation.

Every roofing system is only as good as the deck it's built on.

Once we removed the damaged sections of roof decking, we replaced them with new decking, restoring the solid foundation this home needed before we could move forward.

Most homeowners will never see this part of the project once the roof is complete, but it's one of the most important steps in the entire process.

A new roof should never be installed over compromised materials. Taking the time to remove damaged decking and rebuild it correctly gives the new roofing system the foundation it needs to perform the way it was designed.

At Roof Concepts Construction, we believe doing the job right means addressing the problem—not covering it up.

A solid roof starts with a solid foundation.

Every step we've taken has been preparing this home for what's next. Now that the foundation has been restored, we're ready to install the layers that will protect this home for decades to come.

The story continues.

PROJECT JOURNAL | EPISODE 04

The Deck Never Lies.

Every roof has a story.

Until the roofing system is removed, much of that story remains hidden. The roof deck—the wood foundation beneath every roofing system—tells us exactly what years of weather, moisture, and previous construction have left behind.

In this project, removing the roofing materials exposed areas of deteriorated decking that could never have been identified from the surface alone.

This is why we never build over compromised materials.

Before a premium roofing system can be installed, the foundation beneath it must be restored. Every damaged section is removed, every structural concern is addressed, and every repair is completed before the first layer of the new roofing system is installed.

A premium roof is only as good as the foundation beneath it.

That's why we don't just replace roofs.

We rebuild roofing systems the right way—from the deck up.

The next chapter begins where protection truly starts.

Built Right. Stand Behind It.

PROJECT JOURNAL | EPISODE 3

What We Found Changed Everything.

As we continued removing the roofing system, another hidden layer came into view.

Beneath the asphalt shingles were **two layers of aging felt underlayment**. Over time, these materials had deteriorated and could no longer provide the level of secondary water protection they were originally designed to deliver.

This is why we never assume what's beneath the surface.

Before a premium roofing system can be installed, every worn layer must be removed so the roof deck can be fully inspected. Only then can we make the right decisions about how to rebuild the roofing system the way it should have been built in the first place.

At Roof Concepts Construction, we believe every roof deserves a solid foundation—not just a new surface.

Every layer we removed brought us one step closer to understanding what this roof really needed.

The next chapter would reveal the condition of the roof deck itself.

PROJECT JOURNAL | EPISODE 2

Not every roof is what it seems.

As our tear-off continued, the story took an unexpected turn.

Beneath the existing stone-coated steel roof, we uncovered an older asphalt shingle roof that had been left in place years earlier. It's a discovery most homeowners never expect—and one that's impossible to see until the roof is carefully taken apart.

At Roof Concepts Construction, we believe every roof should be understood before it's rebuilt. That's why we don't rush through tear-offs or build over hidden conditions. We remove each layer, inspect every component, and make decisions based on what the roof is actually telling us—not on assumptions.

This project is more than replacing a roof. It's about uncovering the full story so this homeowner's new Brava Roof Tile ® Barrel Tile roofing system** is built on the right foundation.

The story isn't over.

Episode 3 reveals what we found beneath the shingles—and why those hidden layers mattered.

PROJECT JOURNAL | WEATHER WATCH

Texas weather can change quickly, and this week is a good reminder that hurricane season isn't just about major storms.

Even a tropical depression can expose problems that have been developing for months—or even years. A small crack in flashing, a worn pipe boot, missing sealant, or damaged shingles may not show any signs today, but heavy wind-driven rain can quickly turn a minor issue into interior water damage.

The best time to find a roofing problem is before the storm arrives.

A professional roof inspection can identify:
• Worn or damaged flashing
• Failing pipe boots
• Loose or lifted shingles
• Exposed fasteners
• Early signs of water intrusion
• Drainage and ventilation concerns

Roof maintenance isn't about selling a new roof. It's about protecting the roof you already have and helping it perform when Mother Nature puts it to the test.

If you've been putting off an inspection, now is the time to make sure your home is ready.

We Educate. We Protect. We Deliver.

PROJECT JOURNAL | EPISODE 01

Every roof has a story.

Some are built because a storm left no choice.
Others are built because a homeowner refuses to settle for "good enough."

This home already wore a beautiful stone-coated steel roof. It had served its purpose well.

But the homeowners wanted something designed for the next generation.

They chose Brava Roof Tile a composite barrel tile—a premium roofing system engineered to resist fading, cracking, impact, and the extreme weather Texas is known for. Backed by a 50-year limited warranty, it's built to deliver the timeless look of traditional clay tile without many of the maintenance concerns that come with natural materials.

Over the coming days, we'll take you behind the scenes of this transformation.

You'll see what we uncovered during tear-off...
What was hidden beneath the surface...
Why the details matter...
And how a roof is truly built the right way.

Because at Roof Concepts Construction, we believe homeowners deserve to understand WHY something is done—not just watch the finished product.

One home. One transformation. Follow the story.
