You know what really gets on my nerves? The way movies have been out here villainizing tradespeople for decades. đ
LikeâHome Alone didnât just feature burglars⌠it featured plumbing and heating scams. Other movies love a âcreepy contractor,â a âshady electrician,â or the âbuilder you canât trust.â Hollywood really said:
⨠Tradesperson = Villain â¨
Cute for entertainmentâtrash for real-world consequences.
Because while movies were busy convincing everyone that tradespeople are out to rob you blind, real life brought its own problemsâbad hiring, bad management, low standards in some corners of the industry, and clients whoâve been burned so many times they now assume every HVAC tech (for example) must be lying because they couldnt possibly be honest and in the trades!? đ¤Śđźââď¸đ¤ˇđźââď¸đŠ
And now? Clients have no clue what good work costs. They donât know whoâs legit, whoâs qualified, or who they can trust to be in their homeânot because the industry is full of villains, but because the industry has been full of bad practices.
But hereâs the truth bomb:
đ The cheapest quote is pretty much never the best quote.
đ Cheap work = cheap materials, cheap labor, cheap results.
đ And cheap becomes expensive REAL fast when you have to fix it twice. Ask me how I know!! đ¤Ż
Your home is not a discount bin.
The person walking through your door shouldnât be the lowest bidderâthey should be:
đĽ Qualified
đĽ Vetted
đĽ Skilled
đĽ Trusted
đĽ Professionally trained
You deserve tradespeople who take pride in their craftânot ones who treat your home like a weekend hobby.
So yeahâHollywood can keep its cartoon villains.
In real life, hire the pros. Pay for quality. And let excellence be the plot twist. Restore Trust. đđ â¨
