🔥 PRODUCT HIGHLIGHT: FORGE CH14S HOIST 🔥
Over the last 18 months, we’ve made a lot of updates to the Forge CH14S. Some are easy to see. Others are small details that make a big difference when you’re running a truck every day.
The goal has stayed the same: build a system that gives you the best possible performing body for 60” cans while increasing maneuverability, payload, weight distribution, driver comfort and profitability.
Here’s what makes the CH14S different 👇
🛻 BUILT FOR CLASS 5 & 6 TRUCKS
The Forge CH14S is designed for Class 5 and Class 6 chassis and handles 14’ long, 60” cradle-style dumpsters.
That means you can run common dumpster brands including PJ, MAXX-D, Horizon, Iron Bull, ED, Big Tex, and many others.
You’re no longer locked into a trailer dumpster system.
📐 48° DUMP ANGLE
One of the biggest advantages of the CH14S is its 48° dump angle.
That gives you a steeper dump than typical trailer systems and helps material actually free-fall out of the container.
Even better, the rollers never touch the ground while dumping.
That helps prevent bent or broken lockdown tabs while still allowing the system to achieve its full dump angle.
⚙️ OUR SLIDING TRAY DESIGN
The sliding tray is one of the most important parts of the CH14S.
Its primary purpose is proper weight distribution—something traditional fixed-position designs simply can’t provide in the same way.
But it creates another major advantage:
Less than 24” of rear overhang.
That short overhang means:
✅ Better weight distribution
✅ Ability to pull a trailer
✅ No need for a DOT underride bumper
✅ Better material delivery
✅ Rollers stay off the ground during dumping
✅ A more compact, maneuverable truck
When you’re delivering gravel, dirt, mulch, debris, or other material, that short overhang matters. It allows material to drop naturally to the ground instead of landing on the back of the truck.
💪 FULL HYDRAULIC. PTO DRIVEN.
Earlier this year, we discontinued our electric CH14S models.
The CH14S is now a full hydraulic, PTO-driven system.
Why?
Because we believe it’s the superior setup for a truck that’s expected to work every day.
We use dual hydraulic lift cylinders for maximum stability and dumping force.
We would never recommend exceeding the rated capacity of the equipment, but to give you an idea of the capability built into this design, we’ve had customers successfully dump loads weighing over 16 tons.
🪝 HYDRAULIC WINCH
Dumpster loading is handled by a hydraulic winch.
We offer dual reeving on many of our systems, but on the CH14S the winch already outperforms the capability of the truck while helping us keep unnecessary weight off the chassis.
And because it’s hydraulic, you don’t have the brake-wear issues associated with electric winches.
🎮 10-FUNCTION WIRELESS CONTROL — STANDARD
Driver comfort and efficiency matter.
That’s why every CH14S includes our 10-function wireless remote as standard equipment.
The operator gets whole-body control from outside the cab, allowing them to position themselves where they can actually see the operation.
🔩 STAINLESS HYDRAULIC HARD LINES
Another major update this year:
We’ve moved to full stainless-steel hydraulic hard lines.
They’re durable, clean, and provide a corrosion-resistant alternative designed for the environment these trucks actually operate in.
🕹️ MANUAL BACKUP CONTROLS — NOW STANDARD
Electronics are convenient.
But if something ever goes wrong, we still want you to be able to operate your equipment.
We’ve worked with a vendor to manufacture valve sections specifically for our needs, allowing us to make manual backup controls standard equipment on the CH14S.
🛡️ HYDRAULIC ADJUSTABLE TARP GANTRY
We’ve also standardized our hydraulically adjustable tarp gantry.
Being able to adjust the gantry helps provide proper tarp operation across different containers and loads while reducing the chances of tearing up tarps.
And with the help of one of our vendor partners, we’ve now standardized hydraulic tarp motors as well.
No more electric tarp motor solenoids to worry about replacing.
💡 LIGHTING & REAR BUMPER
Every CH14S includes our 11-light LED rear bumper as standard equipment.
We’ve now changed the bumper to a bolt-on assembly, so if it ever gets damaged, replacement is considerably easier.
The bumper also includes two high-lumen reverse lights.
Up front, we include two tower-mounted work lights for early mornings, late evenings, and jobs where daylight doesn’t cooperate.
🚛 MORE CHASSIS OPTIONS
We size our hydraulic cylinders so the system can operate with either an:
Engine-mounted hydraulic pump
or
Transmission-mounted pump
That opens the CH14S up to a larger selection of trucks while still allowing us to maintain a live PTO setup.
⸻
SO, WHAT DOES ALL OF THIS MEAN?
It means the CH14S isn’t just a hoist we designed once and stopped improving.
We keep refining it.
Over the last 18 months we’ve listened to operators, worked with our vendors, evaluated what holds up in the field, and continued making changes to build a better system.
The result is a compact body built around the realities of running a Class 5 or Class 6 truck:
Proper weight distribution.
48° dump angle.
Minimal rear overhang.
Trailer capability.
Full hydraulic operation.
Wireless controls.
Manual backups.
Stainless hydraulic lines.
Hydraulic tarp system.
Serious lifting and dumping power.
And we can build the entire truck for you.
🔨 New truck — turnkey
🔨 Used truck — turnkey
🔨 Already have a chassis? We’ll install the CH14S on yours.
Financing is available for both new and used builds.
For customers looking at a complete used truck, a typical CH14S build is approximately $85,000–$95,000, depending on the year, make, model, mileage, and options.
If you’ve been trying to decide between a dumpster trailer and stepping into a dedicated hooklift truck, the Forge CH14S deserves a look.
