On this day in aviation history ✈️

October 20, 1922: Test pilot Lt. Harold Harris was flying over Dayton, Ohio, when his aircraft started coming apart in midair. He climbed out, fell free, and pulled his ripcord, becoming the first person ever saved by an emergency freefall parachute jump.

At the time, many pilots didn’t trust parachutes. Harris’s jump helped change that, and it’s a reminder that the right equipment matters most on the day you need it.

What a day on the course! ⛳ Thank you to everyone who came out to Millwood Golf and Racquet Club on Monday for our charity golf tournament benefiting the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. To our golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who supported us along the way, we are so grateful. This marks our fourth year partnering with Tunnel to Towers, and your generosity makes it possible.

Yesterday, a few members of the Deskin Scale team had the absolute privilege of participating in the Johnston Companies Charity Golf Tournament at Millwood.
It was an incredible day out on the course, but even better knowing that every swing helped support the Tunnels to Towers Foundation. 🇺🇸❤️

⛳🏆 It’s already been a week of golf for Johnston Companies, and it's only Tuesday!

Congratulations to Jeff and Bo, who played in yesterday's Annual Manufacturing Scholarship Golf Tournament at Heritage Hills Golf Course in Claremore, OK, and took home the win! 🙌

We were also proud to support the event as a hole sponsor. Every swing helped fund scholarships for the next generation of manufacturing talent in the Tulsa area.

Thank you to the Tulsa Area Manufacturers Association - TAMA for hosting a great day and for all the work they do for our local manufacturing community. We’re already looking forward to next year!

As the weather changes, keep walkways, loading docks, and ladder rungs clear of leaves and moisture. Add anti-slip mats at entrances and remind your team to wear footwear with good traction.
