CJW Transportation Consultants LLC is seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief to join our growing team in Springfield, Missouri and surrounding areas.

This is a full-time opportunity for a skilled survey professional who enjoys leading field crews, solving technical challenges, and working on projects that help shape the region’s infrastructure.

Position Details:
-Full-Time
-Pay: $25.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
-Schedule: Monday–Friday, varying hours between 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
-Occasional weekends, overtime, and overnight travel may be required based on project needs

What We’re Looking For:
-Experience leading survey crews
-Strong knowledge of boundary, topographic, construction staking, ALTA/NSPS, and control surveys
-Proficiency with survey equipment such as GPS, robotic total stations, and data collectors
-Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
-A valid driver’s license and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions

Missouri law requires drivers to yield to pedestrians within a crosswalk, yet many crossings still experience low driver compliance.

That's why CJW Transportation Consultants is proud to be partnered with the City of Springfield, MO and SGF Yields to perform Crosswalk Compliance Studies across Springfield.

Our team observes and records driver yielding behavior at selected crosswalks, providing valuable data that helps the City better understand where improvements may be needed.

The information gathered supports future decisions involving pedestrian safety, public education, and transportation planning—all with the goal of creating safer streets for everyone.
