JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsibilities include working and supervising on site construction effort to ensure completion of the job is within budget and time restraints. The Superintendent must be able to effectively communicate with Project Owners, Project Managers, Sub-Contractors and company associates. Obtain pricing quotes from subcontractors on select project. Review scope of work the subcontractors quoted to ensure all aspects of project are covered by subcontractor. Assist with obtain measurements on private negotiated clients and obtain all materials needed for project to start construction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Five (5) years of experience in the Construction industry with a minimum of Two (2) years in a Foreman or Superintendent position. Must be able to read blueprints and project scope implementation of layout work. Candidate will work with Construction estimators at C & N Contractors to keep with in project budgets and architectural goals of the individual project. Position will include inspection, repairs, modification, and construction of woodwork and drywall in existing commercial structures. All projects are built to project specifications. Must be able to lift up to 125 pounds; must be able to climb ladders, stairs and slopes on a construction site. Candidate will be able to operate all equipment and tools used in the carpenter trade. Perform other related duties, as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Five years of field construction experience with 2 years in as a Foreman. A thorough knowledge of all industrial or commercial construction techniques, including technology, equipment, methods, and safety is required. Leadership qualities are needed to assist with several projects that may run concurrently. Candidate must possess team building and leadership abilities and willingness to work harmoniously within a diverse team. A 4 year degree is recommended or consummate on the job experience. Ability to effectively use technology in the field for communications is essential for communication with the Project Managers, Owners, and Subcontractors.
