current owner John Stanulis.and continues to this day. John brings to Division 26 to date 30 plus years of
experience as an ibew electrican and 8 years of estimating experience. National electrical contractor employment

it takes to estimate any given job. The assigned project estimate task might look like this.
*Download all drawing files and job specifications and related documents.
*Send off to blue print shop if necessary or prepare for onscreen takeoff.
*Examine all prints thoroughly.
*Read electrical specifications and general conditions.
*Determine what quotes are needed Gear, Fixtures,Ext.
*Determine what system prices will be needed Fire Alarm,Data,Security, Ext.
*Fixture and Lamps takeoff.
*Lighting Branch takeoff.
*Wiring devices takeoff.
*Power branch takeoff.
*Switchgear, Motor Control Centers (MCC), Transformers,Generators, Transfer Switchs and Panels.
*Feeders takeoff.
*Disconnects,Combination Starters,Varaible Speed Drives,electric heating, along with branch conduit and wire.
*Grounding takeoff.
*Site everything. Lighting,utilities services power,telephone/fiber,cable tv.

Some feature of electrical estimates are the two levels that are used for project bids. Level 1 (Economy estimating Small to Medium size Contractors)
This includes projects from $100 to $480,000 electrical bid value. The estimates are produced with
"Custom Excel Spreads Sheets" with material and quotes comming form the electrical contractors choice
supply houses. We also offer the use of a software "BestBid" which can use material prices from "Net Pricer"
which is though a local distributor that has that service offered. Level 1 Pricing:
*FLAT RATE
*Jobs can be "Flat Rate "including all charges one price.(Start up pre payment 30% required)
*HOURLY
*$37.50 per hour
* Per each estimate additional charge $65.00 (pre payment necessary)(software/computer/pricing/internet use)
* Drawing and Spec copies extra additional cost
*YEARLY
* Specials years worth of estimating $52,000 ($25.00 per hour) with weekly checks. Per estimate charge and
drawing cost apply. Level 2 (Power Estimating all contractors)
This included projects from $480,00 to $1,000,000 plus electrical bid values. The estimates are produced with
Vision InfoSofts EMB with EPIC material. Quotes for gear and fixtures will be needed along with fire
alarm,data.sound,securmcity system prices. There are other estimating systems that can be used here such as
Accubid,ConEst and McCormick. Level 2 Pricing:
FLAT RATE
* Jobs can be "Flat Rate" including all charges one price.(Start up pre payment 30% required.) HOURLY
*$62.50 per hour per each estimator
* Per each estimate additional charge $130.00, extra estimators figured at $65.00 each (pre payment necessary)
Extra fee covers out of pocket expenses for software/software support,computer,material pricing and internet use.
* Drawing and Spec copies extra additional cost as needed for one or group.
*YEARLY
* Specials years worth of estimating $104,000 ($50.00 per hour) with weekly checks. During project work.
*Planner Scheduler software used. "Oracle Primavera P6" (Same cost structure but weekly each job add charges.)
*BIM Building Information and Modeling software used "RevitMEP" (Same cost but weekly each job add charges.) Check estimate work. Any job durring bidding or after the bid project estimates. (Discount rate here 50% off regulare rate structures). Typicaly check estimate has no due date and can be worked into schedule as time permits. Jobs (check estimates) with a narrow time due date are same as a regular bid jobs with regular cost structures.
