.257 Roberts built on a Richardson and Roberts action. We produced these pre-64 Wi******er style actions for a number of years around a decade ago. I was excited when this one made its way back home to have a rifle built on it. Unlike what was offered by Wi******er before 1964, this is a true short action, being 1/4" shorter than the .30-06 length offering. The integral square bridges were milled to accept Alaska Arms QD rings and the pictured NECG peep sight.

Just returned from a spectacular hunt in South Africa with the whole family. The boys were hunting with a .300 Holland and Holland McKinley rifle that a very generous client and friend loaned them for a hunt in the Karoo with We built the rifle on a Granite Mountain Arms action and it features a fully integral barrel with a quarter rib, sling swivel, and front sight. The muzzle is threaded for a suppressor, which isn't the most traditional look but made the rifle very pleasant to shoot and manageable for my sons. Our youngest son (aged 11) made a perfect shot on a black wildebeest at 340 yards!
