The "Post-Snow" Survival Checklist ❄️🛠️

"Just finished a session in the powder? 🏎️💨 The fun is over, but the work starts now! If you don't want your bearings to be a pile of rust by tomorrow morning, follow this 3-Minute Post-Run Routine:

1. The 'Shake & Brush' 🧹
Don't bring the snow inside! Give your car a good shake and use a soft paintbrush to get the snow out of the arms and shock towers while it’s still frozen. Once it melts, it’s much harder to get out of the electronics.

2. The Upside-Down Dry 🚿
Place your car upside down on a towel or in a tray. Why? This stops the melting water from pooling in your motor or dripping down into your bearings. Pro Tip: Point a small fan at the chassis to speed up the drying!

3. The 'Water Displacer' (WD-40) 💦
Once the car is mostly dry, hit the metal hinge pins, driveshafts, and bearings with a quick spray of a water-displacing lubricant (like WD-40 Specialist). It pushes the hidden moisture out so rust can't move in.

4. The 'Plastic Check' 🔍
Cold air makes plastic brittle. Give your A-arms and bumpers a quick wiggle. Better to find a hairline crack now than have a wheel fly off during your next jump!

Can it make it? 🤯
Get down the rock without falling?
This tiny beast looks small… but don’t underestimate it. 💪

Low gear. Slow crawl. Perfect balance.
One wrong move… and it’s over.
That steep rock isn’t just a hill — it’s a test of control, patience, and power. 🪨🔥
Real drivers know: speed doesn’t win here… skill does.

He wanted to play in the mud. The mud played back. 😅🌊

We took the little Defender down to the creek thinking it would be an easy crawl. Fresh water. Soft mud. What could go wrong?

Everything.

Watch till the end. That moment the tires grab... or don't grab. 👇

Don't Let the Cold Kill Your Fun! 🧤🏎️

"Did you know that freezing temperatures can cut your RC battery's power in half?

😱 If you want your car to actually move this winter, follow these 3 essential 'Winter Rules' for LiPos:

1. Warm Up Before You Run 🌡️
Never take a cold battery straight from the garage to the car. Cold chemicals move slowly, which causes a 'voltage drop.' Keep your batteries inside your house (or even in an inside jacket pocket) until the second you’re ready to drive!

2. The 'Storage Mode' Miracle 🔌
If you aren't racing every day, DO NOT leave your batteries fully charged or totally empty. Use your charger’s 'Storage' setting to hit that sweet spot of 3.8V–3.85V per cell. It prevents the battery from 'puffing' or dying permanently over the winter.
+1

3. Never Charge a 'Frozen' Battery 🚫🧊
This is the most dangerous mistake! If your battery is cold to the touch, let it sit at room temperature for at least an hour before plugging it in. Charging a cold LiPo can cause internal damage or even a fire.
+1

Question for the pros: What’s the coldest temperature you’ve ever driven in? Let me know in the comments! 👇
