Such exciting times at ATR Thrive. We are continuing to run trials and watch calves grow. Important to note: the tighter grouping of weights has been a trend since the first trial. In addition the overall health of the animals is better and treatments are less. Fully feeding is the goal. Coats are shinny, eyes are bright. Treatment Trial 1 not only increased average daily gain by 13.5%, it dramatically tightened the performance of the group. Variation in ADG was reduced by approximately 55%, and the overall range in individual growth rates was reduced by approximately 68%. This suggests Get-Go may have value not simply in producing faster-growing calves, but in producing a more uniform population — potentially reducing the number of poor-performing animals and creating tighter groups as cattle progress through the beef production system.
