‼️ BAR TREK IS BACK ‼️

Meet Impossible Sensing & friends at Earthbound Beer on Cherokee Street July 12 for our annual space talks with scientists series.

Impossible Sensing Founder Dr. Pablo Sobron will be joined by Dr. Allison Miller of Donald Danforth Plant Science Center & Saint Louis University to explore how life-seeking space tech, such as the technology developed here at Impossible Sensing, enables next-generation plant and soil sciences to meet the challenge of feeding the world sustainably.

As always, the format of this event is informal and the audience is encouraged to come prepared to ask questions and interact with the guests. AND! If you RSVP at the link below and your first drink will be on us: https://do314.com/events/2023/7/12/bar-trek-space-talks-with-scientists-tickets

"Drawing from space exploration, we’ve brought a constellation of cutting-edge tools to the last unexplored parts of our own planet. Nine years from concept to reality, we’ve now unlocked boundless potential for ocean exploration.”

Taking our to the ocean floor with SETI Institute, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) University of Washington’s Applied Physics Laboratory and other institutions.

What if we could collect data immediately and with zero environmental impact? That's what we're trying to do with the SETI Institute and Impossible Sensing's Raman Spectrometer (aka the ). New to this year’s exploration, in collaboration with NOAA Ocean Explorationration and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, this expedition integrates the spectrometer into ROV operations, which allows for expanded .

Through laser scanning, this sensor collects high-fidelity chemical composition data on materials, including rocks, sediments, and biological samples. Being deployed for the first time from a mobile ROV, this technology aims to advance in-situ sensing and potentially reduce the need for collecting as many physical samples in the future. Analyzing rock samples helps researchers understand the complex of the submerged , part of the larger Line Islands.

The Laser Divebot was built at Impossible Sensing in cooperation with the SETI Institute, the University of Hawai’i, and the University of Washington’s Applied Physics Laboratory. Funding to develop and deploy the technology was provided by NASA, the NOAA’s Ocean Exploration Consortium Initiative, and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management.

⚡️ MISSION EXPEDITION UPDATE ⚡️

InVADER Mission’s Laser Divebot, built at Impossible Sensing in cooperation with the SETI Institute, the University of Hawaii, and the University of Washington's Applied Physics Laboratory, launched successfully on May 19, 2023 from the E/V Nautilus and has quickly moved from the testing phase to doing science!

In real-time, our Laser Divebot is collecting data on the mineral and biological composition of rocks and sediment at 1,200 m depth. This is a first in oceanography!

As mankind moves closer to settling the Moon, we’re on a mission to advance the development of sustainable lunar resources.

We’ve joined forces with a leading research institution in South Korea to develop a first-of-kind instrument uniquely capable of detecting, identifying and mapping the distribution of elements on the lunar surface.

We think it’s pretty cool. 😎
