Oh! You thought we were done?! 😁 ESP is still expanding! Please help us welcome Caitlyn Collins as one of newest Clinical Interns! She is both a scientist and a clinician who loves animals. Her warm smile and bubbly personality will show up in every session. Schedule a consultation because she has immediate openings for both reduced fees and pro bono options! Caitlyn will meet you where you are by making time to see you virtually or in office.

Read a bit of her bio below:

Parenting young children can be beautiful, exhausting, and overwhelming all at the same time! You have so much love for your child but the big emotions, sibling conflicts, tantrums, and daily challenges can leave any parent wondering “am I doing this right?”

Maybe you’re looking for better ways to understand your child, strengthen your connection, or respond to challenging behaviors without feeling like you’re constantly fighting an uphill battle. Maybe parenting has also brought up pieces of your own childhood that you didn’t expect.
You don’t have to navigate it alone!
I work with families to build stronger connections and improve communication to better navigate the ups and downs of raising young children. My approach is emotions and solutions-focused to help parents and children feel validated and supported.

Next up! Trinh Ta! She is one of our newest Clinical Interns and we are thrilled to have her on the team. Trinh loves working with families and has a knack for couples work. Be sure to reach out for a chance to catch her fun sense of humor and bright smile. NOW ACCEPTING CLIENTS!! Some pro-bono and sliding scale slots available. Trinh has both virtual and in person sessions.

Take a look a part of her bio here:

I am passionate about supporting couples in intimate partnerships and families navigating these relational hurdles. Everyone wants to feel heard, understood, and respected. You are already doing the best you can with the coping strategies you know, but together, we can discover and cultivate more effective tools. When partners or families unite in this way, you become a strong team facing the challenge together rather than fighting each other.

I am here to support you, your partner, and your family. My clinical approach integrates Emotion-Focused Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. While I will not simply hand you ready-made answers, I will equip and guide you on the journey to finding your own solutions. I currently offer therapy sessions on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

A new semester means new team members at ! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Please give a warm welcome to our new Family Support Coordinator (Practicum Student) Charlan Williams! She comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience! Her good energy is infectious! She will be supporting the ESP community with managing our Parenting Education programming, community outreach, and small group support!

Please read Charlan’s bio below:

Charlan is a Master of Social Work student at Saint Louis University and holds a Master’s degree in Leadership and Organizational Development. She completed her undergraduate studies at Clark Atlanta University, where she embraced the mantra, “Find a way or make one.” This principle continues to shape her approach to social work, advocacy, and working alongside individuals and families.

Charlan is passionate about supporting children and families and about understanding how relationships, family dynamics, and larger systems influence well-being. Her background in leadership and organizational development brings a broader systems perspective to her social work practice, while her approach remains grounded in compassion, authenticity, and respect for each family’s unique experiences.

Through her practicum at Equal Shares Parenting, Charlan continues to strengthen her clinical social work skills while supporting children and families as they navigate life’s complexities. She values building trusting relationships, meeting people where they are, and helping families identify meaningful and practical paths forward.

🤩 Okay, we have some motion and we’re hoping to keep up the momentum! We’re at 11% of our goal thanks to your support!

🔢 Numbers matter…let us share a few of ours:

💙This year we have a goal to conduct at least 4000 sessions and we’re on track to hit that by the end of the year.

💛 85% or more of our clients identify as African-American/Black and our staff and leadership reflects the community we serve

💚 We’re not new to this cause, we’re true to this! This is YEAR 4, of our Race to 100 Free Therapy Sessions and EVERY year we’ve raised more than the year before and increased our impact through hiring more staff and seeing more clients.
