Production/Manufacturing: a manufacturer of coatings has an opportunity for production leader/operator/batch maker in the production facility. The person in this position will perform all tasks in the manufacturing and packaging of paints and coatings, including shipping, receiving, and business operations and simple plant and equipment maintenance as needed. This position will fill an essential role in supporting thousands of others downstream as we manufacture these coatings that protect many different structures and assets. We serve our customers and provide many last minute orders. Our intention is to hire someone interested in a career and wants to work hard and smart.
This position requires some heavy lifting, fork lift operation and building and equipment maintenance. Another absolute must is a positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile when needed. This position is for 34 to 40 hours per week.
We are looking for a candidate with a high school diploma or GED. A person with good communication skills, great attitude, good work ethic, basic math skills, attention to detail and familiarity and competence with hand tools are good attributes to possess for this position. If you don't necessarily possess all of those skills but are willing to learn you will be considered. Preference will be given to applicants with coatings manufacturing, chemical handling experience or experience with hazardous materials as well as experience with safety compliance. We will train the right person for this career oriented position. You will learn to be a batch maker and you will learn a great deal about how to help operate a small but growing business. This position will be a valued and integral part of this business' operation.
We are offering benefits in the form of health allowance, P.T.O. and IRA retirement. The IRA retirement plan is presently a 3% match after 2 years of service.This could be sooner if you earn it. I pay bonuses regularly when we experience higher than usual volume and we as a company meet the challenge. There is a 180 day probationary period.
