Who knew a lemonade stand could teach so much about project management? 🍋🔨

During our Driving Project Success workshop, members experienced firsthand how poor planning creates wasted time, confusion, and costly project impacts. The session focused on how strong preconstruction planning can improve both project outcomes and company performance.

Strong projects start long before work begins in the field!

Stephane McShane, Speaker/Leader/Consultant never disappoints.

It’s Administrative Professionals Week, and we have the best of the best to celebrate. 🎉

After 30 years of dedication to our industry and NECA, Deb Stephens is retiring. She has been the steady hand, the problem solver, and the one who keeps everything moving behind the scenes. We would not be where we are without her.

Join us as we celebrate Deb and everything she has given to this association. 🥂

We couldn’t be more proud of our Mizzou NECA Student Chapter.

These students have been working tirelessly on their ECIC project, putting in the time, collaborating, and pushing themselves beyond the classroom.

What makes this even more impactful is the support from our member contractors. Thank you to those who have welcomed students in, shared your expertise, and given them real-world experience they simply can’t get from a textbook.

This is how we build confidence, connections, and the future of our industry.

St. Louis Business Journal has named International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1 & STL NECA recipients of the 2026 Innovation in Philanthropy Award for their work restoring power after the May 2025 tornado.

Through ReConnect STL, contractors, union electricians, suppliers, and community partners came together to bring light back to North St. Louis when it was needed most.

But the work to rebuild is just beginning, and this group is committed for the long haul ensuring those impacted aren’t just recovering, but positioned to truly thrive.

Proud of this industry, this partnership, and the people who continue to show up when it matters most.

Did you know the demand for data centers in the U.S. is expected to more than double over the next few years as AI, cloud computing, and digital infrastructure continue to expand?

We had a full house last night for an inside look at mega projects and market recovery in our region.

A big thank you to Josh Bone from ELECTRI International and Dr. Anthony Perrenoud from Boise State University for sharing their research & insights on how contractors can prepare, grow, and position themselves for the data centers and other major projects coming to our area.

It was also great to have our Mizzou Student Chapter in the room. They got a firsthand look at what their future in the industry could look like as they begin work on the Electrical Contracting Innovation Challenge.
