Flooring Industry Council (FIC) Members Share Annual Golf Tournament Proceeds with Local Charity, Gwendolyn’s Gifts.

On the morning of Friday, November 18th, Flooring Industry Council (FIC) members; Tara Rhea, Alex Verseman and Eric Reinhold had the privilege of joining the Kramer family for a very special cause.

Erin and Mark Kramer of St. Peter’s, Missouri are the founders of Gwendolyn’s Gifts, a nonprofit 501-c-3 started in 2019 on behalf of their daughter Gwendolyn, an eight-year-old little girl who was diagnosed with an undiagnosed neurological condition at five months old; impacting her vision, ability to walk, talk, and eat/drink by mouth.

Caring for Gwen with the goal of providing comfort, hugs, prayers and helping her to smile everyday became Erin and Mark’s mission. In 2018 they decided to share this love with other children on palliative and hospice care, like their Gwen. From what started with donations in lieu of birthday gifts to create, “Smile Bags” grew into Gwendolyn’s Gifts, which has served over 725 children and their families.

The FIC group was able to visit with Gwen, who shared many smiles, and donated over $4,000.00 of proceeds from their annual charitable golf tournament. The money donated will adopt 4 families this Christmas who have unfortunately lost their children. These gifts will help to spread joy and smiles this holiday season to those who need it most.

Erin shared with FIC members, “spreading the word of Gwen’s Charity is important so families know we are here to help, they need to know where they can find us”.

The FIC Annual Meeting has a NEW LOCATION. The new space features a large room which completely opens to an outdoor patio. We believe having the event both indoors and outdoors is best for everyone’s comfort level and safety.
