We hope you'll help us out on our goal of $600!

Hi! We're the Brooke Point Robotics Team. We're a school club that doesn't have any means of raising money (we cant do raffles, bake sales, anything like that really) so we would really enjoy it if you helped us out. The money we're hoping to make will go to; 1. Shirt with logos (to advertise ou...

Hello everyone! It's been a long time since we've made any updates, we've had a lot going on these past weeks. So to start off, we have an announcement. Our Old Captain, Drake, had to leave Robotics, so now we have a new Captain. We've made progress with our coding and understanding the hardware that is on the phone. We should have a fully functioning robot by Thursday this week.

Today, on the 18th of October, our group will be having a demonstration which will show us how to put the robots code in the correct location. Our visitor, Mr. Shotwell, will be visiting us from Colonial Forge High School, and we look forward for his guidance.

Hi Everyone! Sorry, it's been a while. Mainly due to the fact that school was canceled on the 29th of September. Our last meeting, on Tuesday, the 4th of October, we had gone through our inventory of our parts, discussed sliders and possible strategies for our robot.

Today we didn’t do much, we didn’t have as many members come today as usual. Everyone was late this morning due to traffic in our area, and so many people either didn’t come to school because the bus was more than an hour late, or were busy making up other commitments.

We’ll be glad to say that next Thursday, the 13th of October, we should be having a group photo taken which we can post on the site for anyone that wonders. :)

Hi Everyone. So, we didn't post anything after our 3rd meeting, mainly because we were just brainstorming about the robot.

It is the end of the 4th meeting, and we've established the rules of Robotics (see below). We've gone over which tools in the workshop we will be using throughout the year, we've also distributed the roles among the members throughout the club.

Next meeting we should hopefully be learning shop certifications. Be sure to stop by if you have the time :)

RULES OF ROBOTICS;

1. Look at the shop safety rules
2. LOOK AT THE SHOP SAFETY RULES (for emphasis)
3. NO USE OF EQUIPMENT WITHOUT PROPER AUTHORIZATION
4. NO shouting
5. NO horseplay
6. ALWAYS be polite and courteous
7. LISTEN to your club instructor, your captains, your vice-captain

Hi everyone! So, we concluded our 2nd Meeting, we went over the FTC Challenge for this year. We have decided on knocking the ball off of the center, parking the robot onto the ramp and the center, and pushing a particle into the vortex.

We've welcomed three new members today, we hope that they stay for the rest of the year, and many more.

The link for the challenge is here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQLrcQbm8cg

So an update for all of you who look at this! Our first meeting was a success. We welcomed 5 new members into our group (all Freshman) so we'll have people to carry on Robotics when we all leave (most of the current members will be graduating in a year or two). We love to see new faces! For all of you who don't know, our next meeting will be happening on Tuesday, where we will be covering the 2017 FTC Challenge! For those of you who miss it, we will post what happened at the meeting, as well as a link in case you want more information for what we'll be doing for the competition. :) Have a nice day everyone!

Hi everyone! Welcome to the Brooke Point Robotics page! For those of you who don't know, we are a school Robotics team, focused on building, programming, and overall having fun with robots. We would love it if you became a sponsor because otherwise our club might get disbanded. Any help is appreciated! If you want some more information, go ahead and message us!
