So, the facebook app on my phone won't let me login to either of my accounts. They send a verification code for two factor authentication, I enter the code, and then they ask me to take a "photo selfie". Or to scan my passport, or photo ID.
Nope.
They can suck it.
I uninstalled FB from my phone again.
Unreal man.
If I am slow to respond to FB messenger, please understand this is why.
Getting a little too Orwellian for my tastes. My passport?!

Hello everyone. Really bummed to hear about the passing of Arise From Thorns / Brave OG bass player Chris Wellborn. I was introduced to Chris by Scott and Michelle Loose, and Trevor Schrotz in the mid to late 1990's. I can pretty vividly remember the first recording session that Chris played on with them. I remember him having a really solid bass sound, and felt like he added a lot to the music at the time.

We became friends from then on, and I had the privilege of hanging with Chris for years following those sessions.
His passing is untimely, and Chris will be missed. I regret not spending more time with him. RIP Big Red!

Here are a couple of tunes we recorded using a Mackie console and some ADAT machines. Written inside of maybe a week, and recorded in an afternoon at Neptune recording in Occoquan VA.

Done hastily, and as mostly an experiment at the time. We were all in our 20's. We were just kids really, having some fun.
Good times though.

So, I wanted to give a big shout out and thanks to Steve Hogan (former design engineer at Jensen Transformers), and Avedis at Avedis Audio. Yesterday I was having an issue with a transformer on a piece of tube equipment. It was working, but there were issues. Steve and Avedis were kind enough (as always) to put together a 3 way call, and they had the issue sorted within 15 minutes. Literally, 15 minutes. These guys are incredible! Super intelligent individuals, that know audio transformers like NOBODY on the planet.

As a side note, Avedis has resurrected the PYE brand of recording equipment, and has already begun selling a new transformer box. More equipment is in the works. If you get a chance, please get a listen to his new gear, as well as his always stellar Avedis Audio gear that he has been making for years. Incredible sounding stuff!

So apparently if you don't use this statement somewhere in your profile, your personal photos become public domain on Facebook / Meta. They are free to use, monetize-whatever your photos I guess.
